About Me

Brought up in Worcestershire in a family where both my father and grand-father used SLR cameras in their hobbies and at family events it was this surrounding of camera equipment that soon rubbed off on me and I'd want to take control of the camera whatever the subject and wherever the location.

I first took the plunge into the world of photography after leaving school by studying for a National Diploma in Photography at Matthew Boulton College in Birmingham. I purchased by first dSLR at the end of 2008 and ever since I've aimed to use it to its full potential, getting to grips with which functions do what and delving into a world of filters, wide-angles and telephotos along the way.

In that time I put on exhibitions of my work in the college and at Wolverhampton Light House Gallery. Since then I have had work beamed around the World on televisions from Austria to America, helping to promote the Nikon D5000 on the National Geographic Channel and whilst still at college, collaborated with another photographer and a graphic designer to improve the face of empty shops within Birmingham by creating large pieces of work with the proprietors details on. The aim of this was to provide inspiration to passers by, advertise the empty space and to provide a more colourful scene than an empty shop window.

It was while I was still in college I met Sean Cooper, the director of Track Focused race team and the Track Day Experience company and I started photographing for him. It started out with just one car and getting track based shots at a couple of circuits and then I watched it grow into a team of mechanics, multiple cars, huge corporate days out and then supercars and then onto race cars at the major circuits across the UK and Europe.

I hope you enjoy the images as much as I did taking them and if you're interested in a shoot however large or small, please do not hesitate to contact me using the "Contact" page on the website.

"I first commissioned Dave to do some work after seeing his stunning RAF pictures. He was extremely enthusiastic, professional and courteous with clients. But most importantly the end product was just what we wanted. Daves pictures have been used on our website, for promotional material, and we regularly use him as an on-event photographer, providing clients with memories of their day. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, and will be using him again this season."
